Cargill H&FT Launches AdvantaSoy™ Isoflavone and OptaFlex™ Chondroitin Sulfate at SupplySide West
OptaFlex™ First North American-Sourced, Solvent-Free Chondroitin Sulfate


MINNEAPOLIS - December 2, 2002 - Cargill Health & Food Technologies (H&FT) officially will introduce two breakthrough products at SupplySide West International Trade Show and Conference December 4-6, 2002, at the Venetian Hotel and the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

OptaFlex™ - the first chondroitin sulfate that is made from North American raw material and is solvent-free - is a unique entry into the highly valuable chondroitin sulfate/glucosamine market. "We believe dietary supplement manufacturers will recognize the value to their products of a solvent-free premium chondroitin sulfate that is made from North American-sourced raw material," said Ted Ziemann, president of Cargill Health & Food Technologies.

AdvantaSoy™ Compress™ high concentration soy isoflavones are specifically formulated for the dietary supplement industry. "AdvantaSoy™ Compress™ isoflavones, available in concentrations of 15-50%, are produced using our proprietary technology," said Steve Snyder, director sales & marketing for Cargill Health & Food Technologies. "This product will allow supplement companies to capitalize on the positive trends in women's health," Snyder said.
